Bolivia's yungas road in has earned its name 'death road' from its sheer drop off's of up to 900 meters and maximum of width of 3.2 meters. Rain and sudden fog contribute to the problems making the track wet and slippery.
It has claimed countless victims over the years, the worst recorded in 1983 when a bus careened over the edge killing 100 people. Since 1998 18 cyclists have been killed traversing the road.
